This playful interaction was especially touching because service dogs are typically very controlled and focused on their work.
Forest’s owner shares their life and adventures online, showcasing moments such as Forest choosing his own toy at a gift shop and, notably, the genuine joy when meeting Pluto. The video quickly gained global attention and positive reactions, with people appreciating seeing a service dog momentarily step away from professional duties to enjoy some fun.
Why it feels good
Seeing Forest's joyful reaction resonates because it shows the softer side of service animals that many might not normally witness. These dogs work tirelessly to support people with disabilities and maintain strict self-control, so moments of unguarded happiness are rare and precious. This reminds viewers that service dogs, despite their vital roles, are still dogs who enjoy play and affection.
Fans of the video also appreciated Disney’s thoughtful approach, where cast members don’t rush guests or their animal companions when meeting characters. This warm and welcoming atmosphere enhances the joy of encounters like Forest and Pluto’s. It’s a beautiful reminder of kindness in both human and animal friendships.
