What happened
LEGO has reissued its gingerbread-themed AT-AT walker set just in time for the 2026 holiday season, giving Star Wars fans and LEGO collectors a sweet new way to celebrate. This set stands 7.5 inches tall, smaller than previous massive versions of the AT-AT, making it an ideal size for display alongside festive holiday decorations.
The set uses warm gingerbread brown bricks accented by white pieces that resemble icing and colorful gumdrop-like elements. Candy canes cleverly take the place of the AT-AT’s usual blasters. The set includes a hidden compartment featuring a cozy holiday scene complete with a fireplace, stockings, gifts, cookies, and a cup of cocoa—adding a delightful, unexpected twist to the classic Star Wars vehicle.
Why it feels good
This LEGO set sparks joy by blending two beloved themes: the wonder of the Star Wars universe and the cozy comfort of holiday traditions. Its design evokes warm memories of holidays past while offering a new collectible that appeals to builders both young and old. The tactile nature of LEGO building combined with the festive aesthetic is perfect for getting into the holiday spirit.
Collectors and casual fans alike will appreciate the unique minifigure of gingerbread Darth Vader, who wields a candy cane instead of a lightsaber. This fun detail adds character and charm, making the set not just a decoration but a playful conversation piece. At $60, the set hits a sweet spot as a thoughtful present or a personal festive treat.
What to enjoy or watch next
After building the Gingerbread AT-AT, fans can continue the holiday fun with the 2026 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar. This calendar features 24 mini-builds and exclusive holiday-themed minifigures including Grogu and the Mandalorian, perfect for counting down to Christmas with daily surprises.
Whether displayed on a mantel or unwrapped during a post-Thanksgiving family gathering, these festive Star Wars sets offer hours of creative enjoyment. For those looking to expand their collection or gift a loved one, grabbing the gingerbread AT-AT now is wise, as LEGO sets often retire after a few years, making this sweet treat all the more special.
