In Assam, a government school teacher missed several days each month due to period-related difficulties, inspiring her brother Kiriti Acharjee and friends Sourav Chakrabarty and Satyajit Chakraborty to develop a better solution. They recognized challenges such as lack of hygienic changing spaces, heavy menstrual flow, leaks, and skin irritation faced by many women.
Beginning in January 2020, they founded HealthFab in Bengaluru, investing Rs 15 lakh to create GoPadFree—an innovative reusable period panty. After extensive testing and design refinement, the product debuted on Amazon, offering a durable, absorbent, and comfortable alternative to disposable products.
