What happened
Habitat has teamed up with Morris & Co to launch a new Christmas decoration collection that updates the brand’s iconic arts and crafts motifs for contemporary homes. This launch features familiar festive items such as paper stars, baubles, wreaths, and bows, all reinterpreted in rich jewel tones like burgundy and forest green.
The decorations stand out for their high quality and carefully considered design, moving beyond the typical Christmas decor often seen. The collection includes playful ornaments inspired by the famous Strawberry Thief pattern and elegant beaded gold birds, aiming for lasting appeal rather than passing trends.
Why it feels good
This collection sparks joy by blending nostalgic heritage patterns with fresh styling, creating festive pieces that feel both classic and new. For decorating enthusiasts who want to build a collection of heirloom-quality decorations, these designs represent thoughtful investment pieces intended to be cherished and reused year after year.
Additionally, the range offers a stylish alternative to common holiday motifs like tartan, appealing to those seeking heritage-inspired decor without repeating familiar clichés. The carefully selected colors and motifs fit seamlessly into modern homes while honoring tradition.
What to enjoy or watch next
Key highlights to consider include the stylish medium paper stars that can be clustered as a striking mantel or window display, and the classic glass baubles with a vintage feel that will complement any Christmas tree color scheme. Fans who already own Habitat wreaths can enhance them with Morris & Co patterned bows soon to be sold separately.
For those who appreciate whimsy, the playful Strawberry Thief bird ornaments offer a charming accent to the tree, perfect for tucking among the branches. Keep an eye on this collaboration to see how it evolves, as it sets a new standard for meaningful, lasting holiday decorations.
