A Slovenian engineer and paddleboarding enthusiast has developed a groundbreaking underwater lamp that attaches to a stand-up paddleboard, lighting up the ocean floor with an intense 90,000 lumens of brightness for nighttime explorations.

What happened
Jure Korber, an engineer and passionate stand-up paddleboarder from Slovenia, created a high-powered underwater spotlight that mounts to the underside of a paddleboard. His goal was to paddle at night and clearly see underwater life and seabed details using exceptional illumination.
The device features a hydrodynamic aluminum body, 36 LEDs divided into three controllable zones, and a custom battery pack offering hours of runtime. This innovative setup reportedly lights the water beneath the paddleboard down to approximately 20 to 25 meters, making night paddling a new kind of aquatic adventure.
