What happened
Dragon Tiny Homes released a new variation of its Avalon tiny house that spreads out horizontally rather than stacking living areas vertically. This model, called the Single-Level Avalon 32', is built on a triple-axle trailer and measures 32 feet in length. By focusing on a single floor, it provides a height that stays manageable at 13.6 feet, making travel and setup easier while still maximizing useable indoor space.
Inside, the home features 269 square feet of space designed around an open living room and kitchen area. The living space includes a sofa with storage, a wall-mounted TV, and an electric fireplace beneath a ceiling fan. The kitchen is equipped with essentials like a sink, induction cooktop, fridge/freezer, and microwave, all arranged to provide efficient use of cabinetry. Flanking this central area, the tiny home includes a bedroom with a double bed and full standing height, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and washer/dryer unit.
Why it feels good
The single-floor layout removes common hurdles found in many tiny houses that have lofted bedrooms, where limited headroom and climbing can be inconvenient or uncomfortable. Standing upright throughout the home, from bedroom to bathroom to kitchen, introduces a level of everyday comfort and accessibility that appeals especially to those valuing ease of movement or unable to navigate stairs easily.
Natural light fills the home through a large picture window in the living area, creating an inviting atmosphere. The mix of engineered wood finishes and the practical yet cozy interior elements like the electric fireplace and ceiling fan help balance modern functionality with warmth, making it a homely retreat despite its compact footprint.
